So, when I started this blog I promised you all a peek into my life. I guess I haven’t really followed through all that much with that promise. Well, it’s time to change that.

Recently, my amazing husband Eric and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary, and began our 11th year (!!!!) as a couple. I can’t believe it’s been that long… incredible that he’s put up with me! As my gift to him, I purchased a couple of tickets to see KISS at Ottawa’s Cisco Bluesfest.

Best. Decision. Ever.

I’ve seen quite a few live shows, and in all honesty, KISS has been the BEST by far. I can’t even begin to describe in words just how fun the evening was. We got rained on a fair bit, but no one cared! Now of course, this being a photography blog, I don’t really need to tell you just how awesome it was ’cause I can SHOW you. We went into the event not knowing whether or not we would be allowed to take photos with our pro gear and listened intently for an announcement that the big guns needed to be put away. It never came! WOOHOO! Unfortunately, my short self couldn’t get a clear shot of anything, so I relenquished the camera duties to my fantastibulous hubby… who also happens to by my second shooter for weddings. I’m SO taking all 6ft 1in of him to EVERY concert I go to from now on!

Ok, so enough yammering! On to Eric’s awesome photos!

Yesterday I had the honor of photographing this awesome couple’s wedding. They got married At the Schoolhouse in Munster, ON and the location was perfect for their intimate event. We weren’t sure the weather was going to cooperate, but just as the ceremony time rolled around, the skies cleared up long enough for the couple to exchange their vows outdoors.

Congratulations Rémi and Caren! I truly enjoyed hanging out with you and was honored to be a part of your big day!

This little cutie really made us work for our shots! He wasn’t too interested in sleeping and every time he did doze off the camera shutter startled him out of his slumber.

But just look at these peepers… I’m kind of glad he was so alert.

And of course, just to show what some patience and determination can produce, here was one of the elusive sleeping shots:

I had SO much fun doing this session! I had been wanting to do an urban maternity for a while, and when my friend D contacted me to do her portraits I knew she and her husband would be the perfect couple for it! We headed downtown and she was awesome to put up with all the walking!

I’m not sure if D noticed the “8″ here, but I sure did and just had to stop.
