I recently had the pleasure of meeting up with J, L & L to do our first session together. Little miss L kept us on our toes pretty much the whole time and we were able to get some great shots, which I feel captured this 2 year old’s adorable free spirit! I know mom has been waiting for these, and I can’t wait to share them! Sooooo….

As soon as this couple contacted me about doing their wedding, I knew it would be fun! They planned a surprise ceremony to take place in the presence of their family & friends at the beautiful Sterling restaurant in Gatineau, Qc. Their guests thought they were meeting them there for dinner after a supposed city hall ceremony, but Charles & Erika had obviously made other plans. 
The surprise worked out wonderfully and the ceremony took place outside in front of the restaurant.
Before the wedding, we met at the Rockliffe Rockeries to capture a few portraits.
And then we moved on to Sterling…
Erika wore her mother’s wedding dress… with a twist! Using the fabric from the original dress, she had a designer create this beautifully detailed, short version that was completely unique to her. Such a fabulous way to combine the “something old” and “something new”!

Our very first wedding of the 2009 “summer” (’cause technically it’s still spring) season! After doing Matt & Bonnie’s engagement session in May, I could hardly wait to see them again! They are truly one of the most laid back, genuinely nice people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. Not only that, but their love, admiration and respect for each other all seem to radiate outwards and affect every single person around them.
The wedding took place in beautiful Perth, ON - where I, under no uncertain terms, have informed Eric is the place I am going to retire (but only when my arms are completely unable to support a camera… obviously). Yes, I really did love it that much.

As soon as I saw the gorgeous soaker tub I knew I wanted this shot. Bonnie was seriously cool to humour me!
One of my favorite ceremony moments ever… “I Matt, take you Bonnie to be my husband,”. Priceless! In Matt’s defense, he was only repeating after the officiant.
Their beautiful stained glass cake topper was made by the bride’s mother.
And the bride’s father wrote and performed a song at the reception. It was such a beautiful moment!
And of course, what’s a wedding without the rings?

It was such a privilege for me to be able to attend little miss E’s baptism recently. Her parents held it in their own home & back yard and it was absolutely beautiful! Following the ceremony (which I was honored to photograph!) we took a couple of minutes to shoot some portraits. Here are a few of my favorites.
And how much did I love that the whole family was colour coordinated… in PINK! I’m usually not a big fan of pink, but this just worked so well that it made me reconsider!

We had a great time doing B’s family session at the Ornamental Gardens recently. She is just so sweet and has the most amazing blue eyes!
I’ve been photographing B since she was a newborn and I can’t believe a whole year has gone by already. Thank you so much to the B family for so many great experiences!
